Canadian hockey star Tom Kostopoulos this week announced a partnership with the Canadian Celiac Association to help kids lead happy gluten-free lives.
In addition to becoming a formal spokesperson for the organization, Kostopoulos has generously agreed to donate $100 per goal during the regular season to the Canadian Celiac Association, as well as tickets to youth in the Calgary chapter of the group. Following games, Kostopoulos will meet with the kids in the locker room to talk about his live with celiac disease.
In an article on the Flames website, Kostopoulos said, "I am honoured to be involved with the Celiac Association. Being a celiac myself, I know how difficult it can be for kids. I am looking forward to meeting youth through the association and participating in their programs.”
