Study looks at link between celiac and end stage renal disease

Doctors and researchers are trying to figure out the connection between celiac disease and end stage renal disease.

Rates of end stage renal disease are rising globally and they believe celiac is a contributing factor. In the study, 90 people with celiac disease developed end stage renal disease, a high number compared to the researchers projected 31.

Researchers conclude that people with celiac should be vigilant about their health since they do face a higher risk.
