Tennis Star Venus Williams Diagnosed with Autoimmune Disease

Tennis star Venus William's announced that she was pulling out of the US Open due to her recent diagnoses of Sjogren's Syndrome.  

Sjogren's is an auto-immune disease that causes inflammation in the muscles and the lungs which can lead to extreme fatigue and joint pain as well as dryness in the mouth and eyes.

It has been suggested that a gluten-free diet may help some patients, especially in the small number of patients diagnosed with both celiac and sjogrens.
