Eric W.'s Story:
I have always had really smelly gas. I always thought it was funny, but not weird enough to see a doctor about. Just recently my girlfriend got me the Biocard Celiac Test to try to find out if celiac was causing my gas. The test kit was so easy to use and didn't hurt at all to use. It felt like a rubber band was pricking my finger. My test result was negative, but what I'm really glad about is that the act of taking a test actually made me want to go see a doctor to find out what's wrong with me. Thank you Biocard for giving me the nudge I needed to find out what's wrong.
Joyce's Story: We purchased the Biocard today and as you predicted I got a negative response. I'm not sure I could stand to eat bread for 4 weeks. It really increases the pain that I get so I guess I'm kind of stuck. I was following an almost gluten-free diet prior to having the small bowel biopsy so likely this may have messed that test up also. In the past I have seen an allergist (he is also a medical doctor) and tested positive (IgE) for allergy to barley. Perhaps I should get retested for allergy specifically to wheat. I'm assuming this is the only way to look for Gluten Intolerance rather than Celiac/gluten sensitivity. The work that you folks are doing to help make testing for Celiac and other diseases more readily available to consumers is wonderful. Keep up the good work!
